Mission Statement of the LOTH Grievance Committee
We, the Grievance Committee members, strive to instill the highest standards of ethics and integrity with, and for, the LOTH members.
The GC was appointed by Kari and designated as anonymous in order for us to be mediators between parties who have differences. We will not take sides. We will not cast harsh judgments. We will listen to all sides of the story and determine Findings & Recommendations to help resolve the situation.
There are 2--4 members in the GC, including the GC ChairLady. We all have our independent voices on each complaint filed.
There is no set limit of time to concluding these matters. We try to resolve them as fast as possible, but please bear with us, trying to get all the GC members together at one particular time is a little hard at times.

The Grievance Submission Process
We have a form set up to make it easier to get the grievance process going. (See further down this page.) It will help us to organize and save steps within the filing process. Once your grievance is filed (you may send it here), you will be notified within 48 hours that your grievance has been received. If you do not receive a notification within 48 hours, by one of the GC members or Kari, please contact our administrators at grievance©ladies-of-the-heart.org. We will try our best to send you an acknowledgement within that 48 hour time period. We ask for your patience and understanding on this.
When sending a grievance, please include any documentation that you have, i.e., e-mail, chat logs, icq or aim logs, messages posted on the board, etc. This will also help to speed up the process of the GC meetings.
If you feel that things would be better if you left LOTH, please step back and contemplate your prospective action. You may be feeling hurt and angry, but please take some time to really mull it over in your mind. Above all, give the GC a chance to help you. We ask you to please keep in mind that this process does not happen overnight. We need time to gather information, meet, and discuss the grievance. WWe would like to ask for your patience.
Finally, some guidelines need to be reiterated and a new one added.

- NO ANONYMOUS postings on the LOTH message boards (that are hurtful or nasty!). NO FLAMING, NO BERATING of a LOTH Sister, but LOTS of love and caring, prayer requests, sharing, etc. on the LOTH message board. The message boards are established to help us network as Sisters, not to be a politcal or hurtful arena, but a safe place for all to enjoy.
- Do not post your resignations on any LOTH message board, regional or the main message board. This kind of action is hasty and hurtful to others. It generally causes unwarranted upheaval on the board and that is not what we come to the board to read. Also, 98% of the time, those who post their resignations decide to stay. Please direct your resignation by going to our Change of Information Page, and filling out that form.
- Please remember this...GC members have been given the authority to delete these types of posts. GC members regularly monitor the LOTH message boards and will delete posts that contain anything related to the items listed above. However, if there is anything posted that refers to a specific person in an indirect way, it will not necessarily be deleted. The GC does not know what goes on in everyone's personal life and cannot be expected to know exactly who is talking about whom when referred to indirectly, i.d., by not mentioning the person's name but referring to them as i.e., ex, that woman, that bitch, so and so, etc.
- Remember that you are all “Ladies of the Heart” and that you have read and understood the LOTH Creed and the LOTH Charter as set forth by this group. By applying to be a part of this group, we accept that you have agreed to live by them. If you cannot honor these tenants, then LOTH is not the group for you. Please go to LOTH Creed and LOTH Charter and read them again to refresh your memory on why you joined this group.
